Florence Renz, age 93 passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Agrace HospiceCare Inc. in Fitchburg. She was born on August 8, 1918 in East Bristol and was the daughter of Joseph and Barbara (Fruth) Mautz.
She married Leonard Renz on May 5, 1936 in East Bristol at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Florence farmed with her husband for many years and worked at the Wisconsin Porcelain Company until her retirement.
She is survived by her children, Wayne Renz of Sun Prairie, Kenneth (Donna) Renz of Madison, Catherine (Robert) Pfaff of Sun Prairie, Rodney (Karen) Renz of Sun Prairie, Thomas (Elizabeth) Renz of Mercer, Carol (Steve) Jaeckel of Madison, Sandy (Dan) Lothe of Sun Prairie; 26 grandchildren, 42 Great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Delores (Wilbur) Wright of Madison and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988; parents; sisters, Bertha storch, Frances Gerry; brothers, Engelbert Mautz and Reinhardt Gordy Mautz; 2 great grandchildren, Gabriel and Faith; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Renz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie. Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt will preside. Burial will be in Scared Hearts Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Sacred Hearts Church or Agrace HospiceCare Inc. WE LOVE YOU.
