Eugene A. Quamme, age 78, passed away on April 2, 2015 at Sun Prairie Health Care Center.
He was born on February 16, 1937 to Harold and Ione in Madison. He graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1955 then served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960. Eugene was a carpenter in the home construction industry. He married Irma Weber on July 21 , 1962 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church in Sun Prairie.
He is survived by his wife; 4 children; Michael (Melissa) of Sun Prairie, Jeffrey (Linda) of Sun Prairie, Karla Quamme of Sun Prairie and Kristen (Troy) Miller of Markesan; 12 grandchildren, Ashley, Daniel, Kathryn, Jennifer, Nathan, Cassandra, Sarah, Emily, Brianna, Natasha, Dilan, and Kierra; 3 sisters Janet (Gary) Dushack, Judy (Joe) Conlin, Sharon (Gene) Baumgartner; 2 sister-in-laws Verla Quamme, and Barb Quamme; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-mother Evelyn; 2 Brothers, Tom and Roger; sister and brother-in-law Donna (Lucian) Lainberger; and sister and brother-in-law Marilyn (John) Spahn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Dr. in Sun Prairie with Msgr. Terrence L. Connors presiding. Burial will be at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Wednesday. Eugene's family would like to thank the staff at Sun Prairie Health Care Center for the excellent care they provided.
