Eugene B. Sickels, age 65, passed away after a battle with cancer on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg with family. He was born on August 9, 1951 in Madison and was the son of Marlin and Alice (Weisensel) Sickels. He served in the Marine Reserves. Gene worked for 39 years at Appliance Product Company in Sun Prairie.
Gene is survived by his mother, Alice of Sun Prairie; 4 sisters, Mary Jo Rice of Columbus, Nancy (LeRoy) Reidweg of Token Creek, Peggy (Virgil) Peters of West Bend, Beverly Sickels of Rio; 2 brothers, Bob (Mary Lou) Sickels of Sun Prairie, Jim (Myrna) Sickels of Beaver Dam and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Marlin; a son Joel, a brother Donald and a niece Cindy Reidweg.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St., in Sun Prairie. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Agrace Hospice.
