Ellen Margarete Czygan (nee Reusse), age 95, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2016. She was born to Rudolf and Helena Reusse on October 27, 1920 in Bremen, Germany. She moved to the United States in 1947 after the birth of her daughter Barbara. She spent most of her time in Chicago where she was a sales associate in a furniture store. She enjoyed morning golf before work and shopping at her favorite chocolate store that sold delicious German chocolate. She also enjoyed her time at her summer home in Tomahawk, WI. She traveled extensively when she lived in Germany. She and her daughter also traveled and went on many cruises together. Her favorite place was Italy.
Ellen was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother Heinz Otto and her daughter Barbara. Thank you to Sun Prairie Health Care Center for their care of Ellen over the past nine years. A Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie. A graveside will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Sun Prairie City Cemetery.
