Eleanor (Pingry) Schlink, age 89, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Prairie Gardens in Sun Prairie. She was born on April 7, 1923 and was the daughter of Carl and Eva (Bussey) Hankey. She attended Blue Bell Country School and graduated from Omro High School. She also attended Springgate Business College at Oshkosh. She enjoyed many types of employment in the business world during her life as she lived in different areas of the United States. She married Chester Pingry on October 29, 1942 in Omro. Chester died in 1968. She later married Rev. Harold Schlink on February 23, 1974 and resided in Princeton, IL. He died in 1998.
She is survived by her 4 children, James (Mary) Pingry of Sturgeon Bay, Arthur (Ruth) Pingry of Madison, Mariette (Glenn) Amundson of Sun Prairie, Jennifer Fosdal of Madison; grandchildren, Laura (Paul) Pingry-Kile, Kristina Grebener -Pingry, Adam (Erin) Pingry, Andrew (Jamie) Pingry, Andrei Strizek, Rebekah (Aaron) Falk, Joylynn (Steve) Gilles, Kirstin Fosdal and Elizabeth (Zachary) Kuehne; great-grandchildren, Samuel, Alexander and Gabrielle Pingry; Maxwell, Marcella and Jacqueline Kile; Dayton and Abbey Rose Falk; Mark and Anna Gilles; a step-daughter, Nancy Walker of Healdton, OK; 2 step-grandchildren, Corone (Chris) Sparks and Warren Walker; 2 step-great-grandchildren, Taylor and Dillon Sparks.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; a grandson, Stephen Pingry and a son-in-law, Mark Fosdal.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2013 at The Sun Prairie United Methodist Church, 702 North St. with Pastor Scott Carlson and Pastor Frank Gaylord presiding. Burial will be in Omro Cemetery at a later date. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to Sun Prairie United Methodist Church Missions.
