Elaine L. Murphy, age 87, of Footville, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Rock Haven, Janesville.
She was born in Footville, September 18, 1936, the daughter of Victor and Esther (Wilke) Easton. She married Layle Murphy, Jr. in Footville on January 9, 1954.
Elaine had great love for animals, especially Charlie, the wild turkey in Footville. She was homemaker her whole life and loved taking care of her family.
She is survived her son: Michael (Vicky); granddaughter: Angela (Rich) Baker and 3 great grandchildren: Ty, Trace and Eli Baker; and sister: Evelyn (Burr) Rote.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Layle; infant son, Terry; son, Brian; and brothers, Don and Clifford Easton.
Funeral services will be held at Footville Church of Christ at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, with Pastor John Thomson officiating. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the church.
A private burial will be held in Bethel Cemetery, Town of Center, Rock County, Wisconsin.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rock Haven for loving care of Elaine.
