Elaine Elizabeth Wagner McCourt, age 86, Sun Prairie, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday morning December 13, 2014 at residence.
She was born on April 23, 1928, in Waterloo, WI, the daughter of Walter and Hilda (Lundgren) Wagner. She was married to Richard Robert McCourt on June 18, 1955 in Waterloo. He preceded her to their heavenly home this past June.
Elaine was her boy's den mother for many years with the elementary school Cub Scout packs. While her boys were young she sold Tupperware and Avon from home. Later she was the bookkeeper for Schreiner's Restaurant in Fond du Lac for over 20 years beginning at the Grove Street location. She was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac and churches in Lakeland, FL and Sun City, AZ serving as LWML treasurer in each of these churches. She was currently a member of Bethlehem Lutheran in Sun Prairie.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Sarah) of Centennial CO; Jim (Caroline) of Sun Prairie; Chuck (Pat) of Midland, MI; Craig (Shirley) of Eden Prairie, MN: Sister-In-Laws Marian Rieckman of Neenah, Shirley Horning of Fond du Lac, and Alice Senske of Sioux City, IA; and Brother-In-Law, Charles (Ruth) McCourt of North Fond du Lac; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her Parents, brothers LaVerne and Victor, and infant son Keith.
A celebration of her life will be held on December 28th at 2 pm at BETHLEHEM LUTHERAN CHURCH, SUN PRAIRIE. Visitation will be held at the church from 1 pm until the time of service.
