Elaine A. Pfaff, age 96 passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Sun Prairie Health Care Center. She was born June 12, 1918 to Max and Helen (Boetcher) Henke in Waterloo. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1936. She worked at Heidke's Sweet Shop before moving to Sun Prairie in 1937 where she worked at Testers Restaurant. In 1939 she married Ralph Pfaff at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church. She and Ralph spent many hours on the dance floor, her other hobbies were sewing and crafts. In 1951 she went to work for the Wisconsin Cheeseman and retired in 1980.
She is survived by her children David (Sue) Pfaff of Warrens, Mardell (Tony) Blaschka of Sun Prairie, Dottie Lothe of DeForest, Faye Royle of Hazelhurst; grandchildren, Scott (Jacqueline) Pfaff, Brian Lothe, Barb Lothe, Kim Lothe, Tracy (Michael) Herold, Jeff (Kathryn) Royle, Troy (Jann) Pfaff, Jay (Stephanie) Royle, Rebecca Blaschka; 10 great grandchildren, Joshua (Melissa) Pfaff, Jesse Pfaff, August Pfaff, Dalton Pfaff, Chanda and Joclyn Royle, Isabelle and Sophia Royle, Olivia and Gabriel Herold; and one great great grandson, Scott David Pfaff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Betty; her husband Ralph in 1991; 2 sons-in-law, Arlen Lothe and Richard Royle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street, Sun Prairie, with Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt presiding. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church. Burial will be at Sacred Hearts Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Hearts Cemetery Assoc. The family would like to thank the Sun Prairie Health Care Center and the staff for their care of Elaine for the many years she was a resident.
