It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Dreama Lea Garris, of Wilmington, North Carolina on July 1st, 2022 at the age of 70 years. With family by her side, she left this world and joined her mother after suffering from complications with diabetes.
Dreama was the person you could always count on to be there for you whenever in need, a partner in crime, and life long friend. She knew how to brighten a room just by walking in, because you knew she would always have something fun and delightful to talk about. She was the one person you could rely on to keep a secret and swear to a lie if need be.
She will be lovingly remembered by her child Cory (Jenna) Bellamy and grandchildren: Maxwell and Charliee Bellamy; brother, Glen (Risa) Garris; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at the Seawitch Tiki Bar in Carolina Beach on March 21st from 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Food and beverages will be provided. Friends and family are welcome to attend.

Dreama was a cheerful, kindhearted soul. She was a flower along my path, and I’m grateful to have known her. ❤️

One of my strongest childhood memories is having sleepovers with Ms. Dreama's son, Cory. She was always a lovely host and enabled us to truly build strong memories together. Video games, popcorn, pizza. We lived the life. She was like a 2nd mother to me and I will never forget her or those memories for as long as I live. Thank you, Ms. Dreama. We all love you.
