Dorothy A. Haynes, age 91, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on September 27, 1926, in West Allis to Wilfred and Lillian (Straus) Van Ert.
Dorothy is survived by her children Christine (Richard) Sonnenberg, Linda (Steve) Howard, Richard (Sharon) Haynes, and Jennifer (Michael) Rufflo; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters Betty Moshea, Bonnie Ziolecki and Marilyn Buer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas; a brother Bill Van Ert; a sister Rosemarie McCarthy; and a grandchild Melanie Sonnenberg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie. Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt will preside. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church on Monday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.
