Donna J. Woerpel, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Waunakee Manor.
Donna was born in Madison on April 8, 1933 to Harry and Martha (Weigen) Hanson. She married Kenneth Woerpel on October 10, 1959 and was a lifelong resident of Sun Prairie.
Early on she worked as a switchboard operator at Gisholt, but her primary focus was a homemaker and raising her family. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, and was an avid crocheter.
Donna is survived by her 4 children Barbara (Tim) Sullivan of Pardeeville, Deb (Joe) Larson of Greenville, Scott (Amy) of Lake Mills, and Michael; and 3 grandchildren, Deandra, Andy and Steve.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Catherine Woerpel; and brother-in-law Clifford Woerpel.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St., in Sun Prairie. Visitation will be on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sun Prairie Memory Garden.
