Donald Willard Herlitz (known as “Junior” by many) died on December 5th in the comfort of his home by his family. Donald was born March 23, 1945, the son of Carl Jr. Herlitz, and Lucille (Owens) Herlitz. Donald grew up in Richland Center and eventually ventured to Madison. He was united in marriage to Sharon Lee Stelse on January 28th, 1965 who preceded him in death 6 years ago. Donald, worked alongside the much-loved Gedko family and their business the Madison Window Washers for many years. Later on, he retired from CUNA Mutual as a shift supervisor. He enjoyed spending his able time hunting in the Midwest, fishing the numerous waterways, and sharing his harvested home grown garlic and tomatoes. Beyond the Midwest he enjoyed trips to the UP and Canada. After retirement, he spent countless mornings with his friends at the Silver Dollar and Jerry's Bar. In the afternoons, he listened to Willie's Road House on Sirius in his man cave, and evenings watching countless hours of reruns.
Donald is survived by his daughter Fawn, her husband Ronald, and their three children: Brock, Skylar and Blake Reeson and one great-grandchild, Tyla Joleigh. Donald will be reunited with his wife, eldest grandson Tyler Lee, parents, sisters, as well as countless other family and friends. The family would like to thank Agrace Hospice.
Private family memorial will follow.
