Delphine Klein, aged 86, died peacefully at her home on Friday, January 27, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springfield Corners on December 17, 1925. She was the daughter of Arthur and Christina (Endres) Greiber. She married Francis Klein on May 14, 1946 at St. Martins Catholic Church in Martinsville. She was a long-time member of St. Anne's at Sacred Hearts Catholic Parish in Sun Prairie and a youth leader in the Sun Prairie 4-H club for many years.
She is survived by her children, Donald (Robin) of Sun Prairie, Arthur (Lois) of Wonewoc, Carol (Brent) DeWitt of San Diego, Lloyd (Deb) of Sun Prairie, Jerome (DeAnne) of Oregon, Duane (Kristen) of Waterloo; 13 grandchildren, James (Kristi), Michael (Jodi), Daniel (Kim), Nick, Jessica (Ryan) Sander, Christina, Erin (Mickey) Moe, Sarah, Jalisa, Lisa, Kelsie DeWitt, Desiree and David; 6 great grandchildren, Katelyn, Allison, Dylan, Jarrett, Derek and Addison; 3 brothers Herman (Genevieve) Greiber of Waunakee, Raymond (Betty Kay) Greiber of Waunakee, Charles (Marcella) Greiber of Waunakee and 1 sister Odelia (Thomas) Karls of Waunakee.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Francis, parents, 3 brothers Harold, Leo and Donald, 1 sister Verena Hellenbrand, 1 grandson Anthony, 1 brother-in-law Leander Hellenbrand, and 1 sister-in-law Josephine Greiber.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie with Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt presiding. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sun Prairie. A visitation will be held from 3 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2012 with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Monday.
Delphine's family would like to thank Msgr. Duane Moellenberndt and Father John Putzer, for the many kind visits and prayers. Sincere thanks to all her friends, relatives and neighbors for their prayers, visits, food and cards. The family would also like to thank Dr. Motl and his staff and the staff of Agrace HospiceCare for their wonderful care and support.
