On the eve prior to my fathers 72nd birthday, January 6th 2021 we reflect on the many wonderful thoughts, prayers and supporting acts we have received from all of you. Deano's legacy only lives on through each and every one of your experiences and stories shared about our loving father and friend. So please, hold your heads high, smile and enjoy the cool North wind as it is a touch from Deano, reminding us all to look forward to better days ahead and smooth sailing! RIP OPA Deano, your family has the Wheel!

We send our deepest sympathy on the passing of your father. We considered Dean a good friend to our entire family. We welcomed the opportunity to get to know him over the years he spent in Prairie du Chien. He always was quick to greet you with a Hello, a jab, a smart remark and a smile on his face. He was a kind and gentle soul that left a lasting impression on all of us. We will miss you Dean. Blessings to you and your families.

Sorry for your family’s loss. My brother, Joe Provenzano introduced me to Dean at a golf outing. From that first encounter and several subsequent ones, I could tell that Dean was a fun loving guy who loved his family and friends very much. May your memories of him bring comfort to you during this time of loss. Rest well Dean. ?

We had a special friendship with Dean in Prairie du Chien. Dean and his brother arranged a trip for Ken to take our two Labs pheasant hunting in South Dakota. We were always grateful to Dean for that. God rest your soul.

Your family has my sympathy. So sad to find out so many of the DePauw family are passed on. My Grandma, Hazel Stearns, was a cousin of Lorraine DePauw so we are cousins of some sort. I knew Dean at Luverne High School and I didn't know where he went after that so I am thankful for such a beautiful written history of his life. Love, Nancy Stearns Blomgren

Dean was a unique individual who shall be greatly missed. Our deepest sympathies to all of Dean's family although he would want this to be a celebration of his life and not a funeral of sadness. That is the kind of man he was. God Bless you all. Ray and Karen

Uncle Dean- so sad to hear you are gone. I always felt so lucky to have a wonderful uncle who genuinely cared about me (especially golfing and singing). You had an amazing sense of humor and I enjoyed our talks at the DePauw Reunion. Rest easy Uncle Dean and know that you were loved.

I was a neighbor to Dean's brother Butch back in South Dakota. You could not ask for a better neighbor than Butch. Pheasant hunting season was a highlight at the DePauw household, just a mile from my place out in the country on gravel roads. Knowing that, after the hunt, Dean always made sure my cocktail glass was full. Dean, I will always tip my glass to you at pheasant season. Love you brother. Chad, my heartfelt sympathy.
