David C. Romine, age 76, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 18, 1940 in Winona, MN and was the son of James and Ruth (Sweazy) Romine. He married Mary Liebsch on July 2, 1960 in Dakota, MN.Dave worked for 47 years in the Ag Construction and Supply; 7 years mowing lawn for the Sun Prairie School District; owned and operated a Dunkin Donuts. He also coached his daughters in the slow pitch softball leagues.
He is survived by his wife Mary; a son, Karl (Christy); 3 daughters, Barbara (Frank) Pohlman, Brenda (Clay) Hemenway, Susan (Scott) Whelan; grandchildren, Kyle Hemenway, Justin (Kristen) Loeper, Kari (Juan) Olalde, Cody and Collin Whelan; Kelli Romine; great grandchildren, Thomas, Karter, Kace and Karson; a brother Paul Romine; sisters-in-law Bev Romine, Phyllis McNally and a special neice and nephew, Cindy and Dave Liebsch and many family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Bruce.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street, Sun Prairie. Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt will preside. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017, at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie, and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Tuesday at the Church. Burial will be at Sacred Hearts Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Colonial Club Day Care, AgraceHospice or Sacred Hearts Caregivers
