Darrell E. Auby, age 81, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at his home. He was born on June 7, 1933 in Sun Prairie and was the son of John and Anna (Tjugum) Auby. He married Agnes Annen on May 17, 1952 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marshall. He worked many years at the Wisconsin Cheeseman. He was also a hobby farmer as well as an avid Packer and NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes; a daughter Barbara Ann; a son Gerald both of Sun Prairie; 2 grandchildren, Laurie (Lewis) Turner of Oregon, Kayla Auby of Sun Prairie; 1 great grandchild Matthew Turner; a brother David (Janette) of Sun Prairie; a sister Erma Larson of Poynette and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Catherine, Margie and Audrey; and a brother John Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street, Sun Prairie, with Father John Auby presiding. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.
