Darlene Marie Graf, age 76, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at University Hospital in Madison. She was born on February 1, 1937, in Oshkosh and was the daughter of Edwin and Flora (Schmoker) Berndt. She married Robert Graf on May 27, 1967, at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church in Oshkosh. She worked for over 40 years as a nurse and retired from University Hospital.
Darlene was a devoted and loving wife and mother, and a phenomenal Nana, finding joy in every anecdote and activity that involved her three granddaughters. She demonstrated her love for others by knitting afghans, preparing meals, and sending cards, maintaining friendships for over 50 years. She was a devout Christian woman and belonged to the Charismatic Prayer Group of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church. Darlene was a true angel on earth, serving and putting others before herself. She showed grace and kindness to everyone she met, could talk to a stranger and left as a friend. Her gentle spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband Bob, 2 children, Mark (Victoria) Graf of Loves Park, Paul Graf; 3 grandchildren, Izandra, Eliana and Adeline; a sister, Jeanne (Harry) Brown of Brown Deer; a brother, Kenneth (Lillian) Berndt of Neenah and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
