Uncle Bob, Mark, Paul and Family, I can’t begin to tell you how much Aunt Darlene meant to me. I love her so much! I have been grieving and I can’t believe that she is gone. Two weeks ago I spoke with her and I told her she sounded just like my Aunt Darlene. She said, “You mean I don’t sound like an old lady?” I told her no and we laughed. I am so glad that I got the chance to talk with her one more time. I never dreamed that it would be our last time. I know she wouldn’t want us to be sad. We have to remember that now she is with Jesus, enjoying all the wonders of heaven. We know that she will never hurt again and her body has been made whole. Just know that my heart is with you all. Love, Heidi

I will always remember Darlene as one of the most loving, warm and caring people I have ever known. Her heart was always open to others, and she was a wonderful nurse and co-worker. We met Darlene and her husband at Providence College when our son, Gerard, roomed with Paul. Her death brought back good memories of the relationship that started there, and continued for several years through Christmas cards. We know she is at peace in God's hands.
