Dale Wagner, age 54, died on Friday, November 3, 2017 unexpectedly at his home. He was born on February 5, 1963 in Madison and was the son of Bernard “Poppy” and Dorothy (Fredenberg) Wagner. Dale worked for Wentworth Motors in Sun Prairie for 15 years before opening his own business Wagner Bros. Trucking with his brother Danny which they ran successfully for 20 years. Dale was the rock of the Wagner family. He always made things happen and made sure people were taken care of. He enjoyed going to NASCAR races, gambling, and having grill outs. He enjoyed spending time at “The Shop” and his trailer at Holiday Shores in Wisconsin Dells.

He is survived by his girlfriend Sharon Schutz; 2 sisters, Linda (Jim) Chadwick of Cottage Grove and Mary Wagner of Sun Prairie, 2 brothers Douglas Wagner of Sun Prairie and Danny (Cindy) Wagner of Columbus,; 3 nieces, Holly Zimmerman (Michael Hutchings) of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Charisma Chadwick of Fitchburg, and Angie Wagner (Jason Krebs) of Sun Prairie; a nephew Chad Zimmerman of Sun Prairie; one great niece, Shaianne Olson; one great nephew Jacob Krebs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; “Poppy” and Dorothy and a sister Cynthia Grob.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November, 7 2017 at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. A private entombment will be held at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens on Thursday, November 9, 2017. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Agrace HospiceCare.
