Connor James Martinson, age 21, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at home after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. He was born on November 6, 2001 in Madison and was the son of Gino and Diane (Benish) Martinson.
Connor graduated with honors (cum laude) from Deforest High School in 2020. After graduation he headed to UW Whitewater for 2 years majoring in Computer Science making the Dean’s List.

I addition to cooking, Connor loved cars. He purchased a 1940 Chevy coupe with hard earned money at the age of 16. He later traded for a 1969 Chevy Impala he planned to fully restore. He bought his daily driver, a 2017 Nissan Altima at 18 with his own money going into the dealership alone and coming out with his prize.
Connor also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He grew hot peppers which he dehydrated or canned and made spice’s. He loved to make his own blend of seasonings and share them with others.
He is survived by his loving parents; a brother Tyler; grandfathers Herb (Shirley) Benish and Steve Martinson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his two grandmothers, Lois Benish and Patricia Martinson
