Clip Randall Peterson, 56, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011 at home with his family at his side. He was a lifetime resident of Sun Prairie and graduate of SPHS class of 1973. Clip was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather to the love of his life Cindy, daughters Jasmyne, Crystal, and Jade, along with his three angels (his granddaughters) Alexiyah, Isabelle, and Ava. He was a honest, loyal, compassionate and giving man full of grace and found the best in everyone he knew. Clip gave freely of his time and energy to anyone who asked and touched many lives deeply during his life with his gentle soul and caring smile. Clip earned a 3rd degree black belt in Karate and over 10+ years dedicated himself to be a student, teacher, and mentor with Karate America. He touched many young lives as the karate teacher Mr. Peterson. He found great joy and freedom in riding his Harley on the open road. He soaked up every moment of life with passion as he pursued his dreams. He rides on a free spirit. There will be a Celebration of Life (memorial service) from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 7th at the Colonial Club Senior Center in the Cremer Auditorium, 301 Blankenheim Lane, Sun Prairie. Clip is survived by his mother Mary Lou (Peterson) Young, beloved wife Cindy (Manthei) Peterson, daughters Jasmyne (husband Tim; children Alexiyah, Isabelle, & Ava) Boyd, Crystal (engaged to Paul Rogers) Peterson, and Jade Taylor Peterson, brother Kirk Peterson and sister Kim (husband Pete) Strachan. Clip was preceded in death by his father Duane Peterson.
