Cindy L. Weisensel, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at her home in Sun Prairie. She was born on April 23, 1957 in Columbus, and was the daughter of Russell and Phyllis (Scheel) Frentzel. She married Dean Weisensel on June 11, 1977 at Sacred Hearts Church in Sun Prairie.
Cindy worked for 40 years at GTE, Verizon, Frontier, and Steve's Wholesale. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog Sophie. She also was a member of St. Alberts Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband Dean; son Mathew; parents Russ and Phyllis; 2 brothers Randy (Kathy), and Dennis (Tammy); 1 sister Lisa Wagner; nieces and nephews, Crystal, Dalton, Riley, Vanessa, Cade, Ryan, Erin, Seth and Megan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Drive in Sun Prairie. Monsignor Donn Heiar will preside. A visitation will be held on Monday February 19, 2018 from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Alberts Catholic Church.
