Doris Pena left a message on January 27, 2013:
Charoltte always had a smile and a laugh, a great spirit and zest for life. In spite of her suffering she just kept on doing what she did best, taking care of family and friends. She always had an open door to her home and her heart. A very kind and generous person. There will be a large void without her, but those that loved her can take solace that she is at peace with the Lord and baking pies and fixing dinner for all of the family that has gone before us. In Loving Memory from Your Phoenix Family, Doris, Jaime, Mick, Jean, Stefani, Corey, Christopher, and Kali

Our thoughts and prayers are with Charlotte along with Ralph and her very large extened family. May the peace, which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort all of you now and in the days ahead. I think Jody and I did sample some of that famous apple pie at the Family Reunion that Charlotte and Ralph hosted about 5 years ago. That was a great day! Jody and I were very pleased you two drove all the way to Cedar Rapids Iowa to attend our Wedding Dinner on 10-02-2010! We have some very nice pictures of the whole Vernig group. That was another great day! "When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight." Kahlil Gibran With Sympathy, - Jody and Ed Sokoloski
