Linda, Callie and Christy
I learned of Charlie's passing today. Although it had been a while since I had seen him, I remember him fondly. He was my friend and mentor at Oscar Mayer. I sat next to him for many years and feel like I witnessed all of the most important events in his life - his marriage to Linda, the birth of the girls, the passing of his dad and then mom. He was funny, encouraged me to do my best and I could count on him for sound project advice. I enjoyed his stories about his teenage years on the beaches of Florida, his years amassing his credentials, his hunting adventures (maybe he and Poddy are reliving those together now!) his love for his old Pittbull (I can't remember her name...) but mostly I remember how much he loved and cared (and sometimes worried) about all of you. He was a good man. love and peace to you all -

I had the pleasure of being Charlie's nurse for the past 5 months. He had a witty sense of humor. Looking always on the bright side of life. He loved fishin and hunting a true outdoors man. He also loved his family and worried that he needed to get things in order to take care of them. He always was positive. I never heard him talk bad about someone unless it was a joke.
O fl like I have become part of the family. Linda, Calliie and Charles will forever be in my heart and prayers.
I will also miss the extended family Aussie and the three cats that I was just started to be able to tell them apart.
