Charles F. Ande, age 60, passed away on June 27, 2016 at his home in Sun Prairie. Charles was born on April 4, 1956 to Melvin and Retha (Rogers) Ande in West Palm Beach, FL. He married Linda Marick on October 10, 1992 at Sacred Hearts Church in Sun Prairie.
Charles received his Bachelor of Science and Agriculture from The University of Florida in 1979, Masters of Science in 1981, and Doctorate of Philosophy from Auburn University in 1985. Charles worked as a Manager of Research and Development at Oscar Mayer.
Charles is survived by his wife Linda; 2 daughters, Callie and Christy; and 1 brother Joseph.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass at the Church on Thursday night. Burial will be held Friday morning at Sacred Hearts Cemetery.

I learned of Charlie's passing today. Although it had been a while since I had seen him, I remember him fondly. He was my friend and mentor at Oscar Mayer. I sat next to him for many years and feel like I witnessed all of the most important events in his life - his marriage to Linda, the birth of the girls, the passing of his dad and then mom. He was funny, encouraged me to do my best and I could count on him for sound project advice. I enjoyed his stories about his teenage years on the beaches of Florida, his years amassing his credentials, his hunting adventures (maybe he and Poddy are reliving those together now!) his love for his old Pittbull (I can't remember her name...) but mostly I remember how much he loved and cared (and sometimes worried) about all of you. He was a good man. love and peace to you all -
