Catherine C. Susee, age 89, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison surrounded by her family. She was born on September 2, 1923 in Sun Prairie and was the daughter of John and Katherine (Kurt) Nellen. She married James Susee on June 9, 1945 at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband James of 68 years; 4 children, Cathie (Mark) Evenson of McFarland, Pat (Ken) Montanye of Eau Claire, Jim (Judy) Susee of Windsor, Deb Hensel of McFarland; 11 grandchildren, Matthew (Heather), Jennie, Jamie (Jeremy), Jason, Joshua, Traci, Reid, Kelli, Amy, Elena, Tyler; 3 great grandchildren Elise, Ethan and Mollie; a sister-in-law, Doris Chellevold. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Norbert, Allie, Herman, Raymond and Henry; sisters, Agnes and Mary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie. Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt will preside. Burial will be in the Sacred Hearts Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Sacred Hearts Catholic Church. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Janet Storch for all the love, support she provided Mom and her family during her last days with us.
