Betty L. Culp age 67 died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at her home. She was born on January 19, 1948 in Oklahoma and was the daughter of Dave and Neva (Melton) Phifer. She married Robert Culp in 1975 in Sun Prairie. She worked for Dane County Social Services for 20 years. Betty was a great cook and loved to bake for many parties and family. For relaxing Betty would play cards, games, work on her word search, read, or do her crafts.
Betty is survived by her sister Brenda Marchant of Windsor; brothers Benjamin Phifer of Stoughton, and Bernie Phifer of Nowata, Oklahoma; nieces Sheila Betts, Sarah Phifer, Donnell Phifer, Amy Raley, Jessica Marchant and Samantha Phifer; nephews Steven Barger, Joe Burkeland and Jason Marchant; and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Culp; a brother Bryan; and sisters Blynda Phifer and Ladonna Baines.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie with Father Mike Tess presiding. Burial will be in Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held from 9 to 11:00 a.m on Monday at the Funeral Home.
