Betty June Goodman, age 92, passed away on June 3, 2017 as a resident of Home Again Facility in Rio. She was born on March 14, 1925 to John and Myrtle (Ewin) Lamb in Fidelity, IL. Betty was united in marriage to Kenneth Goodman on March 13, 1948 in Madison. Betty was a dairy farmer wife for 40 years in the Cottage Grove area. She was an Elderly Care Giver, worked as a cook in the Head Start Program, as an aid/Food Services at Central Colony, later returning as a Grandmother. The most rewarding job she could of ever imagined was working with challenged children at Central Colony. Betty enjoyed Country Music, Artistic projects, traveling, living life to the fullest with family and friends. She was very active in family events, projects and get-togethers. She was a joyful and positive influence to anyone she met. She was especially active and supportive to all Grandchildren and great grandchildren interests, dreams and goals. She will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by her children, Kenetta (David) Schiller of Rio, Carmen Goodman of Sun Prairie, Paul Goodman of Cottage Grove; brother Jerry (LaVonne) Lamb; her grandchildren, David (Deandra) Achammer, Shane (Kerri) Schiller, Thaddeus Schiller, Charity (Daniel) Tompkins, Angela Stroschein, Tammy Smith; great grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Danielle, Charlotte, Sarah, Samantha; other relatives and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; Husband Kenneth; brothers Bucky, Bob and Mickey' daughter-in-law Vicky; son-in-law Al; great grandchildren Zachary; other relatives and friends.
A private graveside service was held at Highland Memory Gardens in Cottage Grove.
