Bernice E. Motl age 94, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on March 3, 1924 in Sun Prairie and was the daughter of Henry and Eleanor (Breunig) Duschack. Bernice met and married Aloys Motl and made their home in Sun Prairie. She raised her family and in later years worked for Wisconsin Porcelain Co.
Bernice is survived by, 5 children Dr. Greg (Dr. Laurel Brooks) of Oregon, Steven (Peggy) of Green Bay, John (Carolyn) of Wausau, Mary (Dan) McCarthy of Greenwood, IN; Patricia (Mike) Jansen of St. Paul, Minnesota;14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; Elaine (Robert) Weisensel, Virginia Mellom both of Sun Prairie and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Aloys; a granddaughter Courtney Motl and a brother Eugene.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie with Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt presiding. Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church on Wednesday. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Sacred Hearts Church.

I visited Bernice several times when I was in Sun Prairie with my mother and more recently with Della Lukes and my sister, Isabel. I will always remember her as a gentle, queenly lady with a smile that was filled with love.
