Audrey Valentina Link, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013. She was born on February 14th, 1927 in Sun Prairie, the daughter of Anne (Bedner) and Herbert Brooks. Audrey married Walter N. Link on August 22, 1945 in Sun Prairie.

Audrey was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Bristol and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Audrey grew up with all the benefits and pleasures of a small farming community in the township of Hampton.
She enjoyed life in a simpler time with family and neighbors. Because of the era in time, Audrey was a homemaker and farmer's wife. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, watching birds and wildlife, collecting teddy bears, watching Lawrence Welk, crafting, and bingo.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Bernadine Schmitt, and brother, James Brooks.

Audrey is survived by her husband, Walter; 3 children, Jayne (John) Robertson, Steven (Linda) Link, Karla (Shawn) Meister, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 12:00 p.m.
at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. Father Vince Brewer will preside. A visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in the Sacred Hearts Cemetery following the ceremony.

Audrey's family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Columbia County Health Care Center for the compassionate care given their Mom during the time she resided at the care center.
