Sun Prairie –——–Arthur F. Hammann, age 93, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024. He was born on October 16, 1930 in Williamstown, WI to Carl and Viola (Rotenberg) Hammann. On September 1, 1956 he married Joanne Graff at St. Peter’s Parish in Beaver Dam. They were married for 67 wonderful years.
Arthur worked at Truax Field, and spent 35 years in the Air National Guard and Reserves. He was a very active member of Peace Lutheran Church. Arthur was a Packers season ticket holder for over 40 years. He loved working on his cars. He was an avid walker with Joanne, and enjoyed sitting out front of the house. He enjoyed helping out at his son’s business, Quality Plus. Arthur also loved spending time with his granddogs.
Arthur is survived by his wife Joanne; daughters, Debbie (Jim) Schiess, Pam Hammann, Mary (Scott) Ruesch; sons, Dennis (Tina) and Darryl (Tammy); grandchildren, Michelle (Matt) Waldron, Mark (Stephanie) Schiess and Matthew (Marissa) Ruesch; great grandchildren, Kayla, Lillian, Charlie and Parker; sisters, Dorothy (Roland) Schroeder and Betty (Russel) Kempf.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters Bernice, Helen, and Eileen; and his brother, Kenny.
A Funeral Service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 1007 Stonehaven Drive, Sun Prairie at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024 with Pastor Luke Werre presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 am until time of service. Burial will follow at Sun Prairie Memory Garden. Memorials can be made to Peace Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank UW Hospital Doctors and Nurses for their compassionate care.
