Anita B. Belz, age 96, died on Friday, July 8, 2016, at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton, WI. She was born in Menominee, MI to Henry and Susie (Puterbaugh) Charlson and lived in NE Wisconsin throughout her childhood. In 1939 she married Vernon Belz. They had two children, a son Gerald and daughter Nancy. Vernon died in 1999 and Gerald in 1996. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Sue Belz and daughter Nancy (Wesley) Carter of Sun Prairie; four grandchildren: Jody and Todd (Tammy) Belz, Kristin (Steve) Hildebrandt, and Jennifer (Eric) Christianson; and eight great-grandchildren: Tommy (Casey: Mya, Nattalie), Tim and Tara Belz; Ryan, Nick and Katie Hildebrandt; and George and Grace Christianson.
Anita was employed in various capacities as seamstress, clerk, secretary, and hearing aid audiologist. She was a thoughtful, caring person, always helping others. She never forgot birthdays and anniversaries and always sent cards. She was an excellent crafts person also. She was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church and, in later years, an avid listener to Bethel Lutheran Church's Sunday TV service.
At her request, only a small, private graveside service will be held.
