Alice J. Maly, age 76 died peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at Oak Park Place in Madison surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 5, 1937 in Deansville and was the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Riley) Blaschka. She married Kenneth Maly on February 8, 1958 at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church. Alice worked at the Canning Factory, McGoverns and Fashion Cleaners.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Ken; 4 children, Sue (Gary) Merkes of Sun Prairie, Debra (Chuck) Kuhl of Poynette; Steven (Susan Kazenas) Maly of Streamwood, Il; Brenda (Jeff) Hermann of Sun Prairie; 8 grandchildren, Chris, Danny, Kelly, Tanya, Tammy, Theresa, Brittany, Brooke and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. Father Vince Brewer will preside. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 until the time of Mass at the church on Wednesday. The family would like to thank Oak Park Place, Dr. James Nosal and Agrace Hospice for taking such good care of our beloved Alice.
