Alan Gehrke, age 43, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at his home. He was born on November 22, 1972 in Madison and was the son of Gary Gehrke and Debra Williams. He married Julie Rolff on September 27, 1997 at Bristol Lutheran Church. Alan worked for the Concourse Hotel in Madison since 2004. In 2013 Alan was promoted to Night Audit Manager. Alan loved life. Making people laugh, always laughing at himself, and right along with us. He absolutely loved the New York Mets and his man crush Aaron Rodgers. Our 2 dog's Miley and Gertie were his 4 legged best friends who will be lost without him. He was the most proud father and “PAPA”.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; his father Gary; his mother, Debra (Kendall) Schultz; 2 daughters Ivory (Corey) Lenius, Ashley Lenius; a son Joshua Gehrke, 3 brothers James (Kari) Gehrke, Nicholas (Aislinn) Schultz, Timothy (Megan) Schultz; a sister, Rebecca Gehrke, 6 grandchildren, Kiley, Lilley, Levi, Dezmen, Dawson, Cashden; 3 nephews; mother-in-law, Jeannine (Charles) Johnson; a sister-in-law Sharon (Don) Gannon and a brother-in-law Scott (Ramona) Rolff.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Bristol Lutheran Church, 6835 Hwy N in Sun Prairie with Pastor Rick Reiten presiding. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday. Burial will be at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
