Wesley H. Breunig passed away October 30, 2021 at Lake Mills Health Services surrounded by his family.
He was born in Roxbury, Wisconsin on April 22, 1934 to Florian and Rose Pickarts Breunig. Wes was six years old when his family moved to Sun Prairie.
After school he enlisted in the Army. When he returned home he married Lois Frey of Marshall, Wisconsin. They were blessed with four children.
Wes was involved on the family farm, construction and installation of floor coverings. He enjoyed The Lions Club, curling, golf and watching Wisconsin sports. Of great enjoyment to him was attending his children and grandchildren’s sports events and other activities.
In 1985 he married Marilyn (Maxey) Bartow. After retirement, they enjoyed traveling and spending some winter months in Florida.
Wes is survived by his wife, Marilyn of 36 years, his children Timothy (Judy) Breunig, Laurie (Bruce) Flight, Peter (Dana) Breunig and Christine (Michael) Haefner; and his ten grandchildren. Other survivors include In-laws Thecla Breunig, James Robertson, Beverly Breunig and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Marilyn’s family consisting of Teresa, Steven, Tamara (Joe) and their children. Others include her sister Pat(Bill) Simester and sister-in-law Tricia Maxey and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Melvin (Kay), Linda (Claude) Klein, Naomi Robertson, Florian, Jr., Howard, and Marilyn’s brother, John Maxey.
A visitation will be held November 5, 2021, 3:00-5:00pm at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. There will be a private funeral service for the immediate family.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sun Prairie Emergency Food Pantry, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Agrace Hospice or a charity of your choice.
