Trevor Scott Shoemaker, 29, of Brodhead, passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2021, at home in Janesville.
He was born February 3, 1992 in Janesville, the son of William and Heather (Ihus) Day and Barry Shoemaker.
Trevor worked at Bartelt Asphalt and Paving for over 10 years. He enjoyed playing pool, hunting, fishing, mudding, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends.
Trevor is survived by his 2 sons: Ryder and Wyatt; mom: Heather Day; dad: William Day; grandparents: Jeff and Janelle Ihus, Wanda and Boyd Piper and Donald Day Jr.; aunts; Lindsey Ihus, Amber (Travis) Simonson, Wanita Day and Deb Day; and uncle; Donald (Sarah) Day III.
He was preceded in death by his Uncles, Brandon Ihus and William McKee.
Funeral services will be held at NEWCOMER-SILVERTHORN CHAPEL ON THE HILL, Orfordville on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Larry Froemming officiating. A visitation will be on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead.

Heather, I wish there were words to ease your pain but there are none. I've thought of you countless times this week. I send you hugs. I stop and pray that God fills you with his strength and love. I'm so sorry that you've lost Trevor. I didn't get to meet him but looking through pictures, I noticed that he looks like you, he has your eyes. I believe that he will always be with you in your heart and soul and in so many memories. He will definitely be your guardian angel.

I was Trevor's manager at Bartelt for 3 years, but that was a few years back. I enjoyed watching him mature into a really solid dude who always did work we could be proud of. He will be greatly missed.

Heather I am so sorry for this unimaginable pain of the lost of your Son , Your only Son . I know there’s no words that can heal or help in this time , but please know GOD is close to those of a broken heart …..And with GOD by your side Nothing is impossible ! Trevor was my Step nephew as you know for a few years back in his young days , sweetest , cutest , best dressed , little guy …….. He would wear plaid short sleeve button up shirts and button them all the way to his neck ! I don’t know if you taught him that or Barry did ! But it was beyond adorable ! And his sweet smile would just melt my heart out my chest . I have couple so cute pics him at my oldest daughters graduation, oh just precious . . I never seen or knew him as a man we just never got connected but I know he turned out so handsome , and special by the pics I see of him . GOD BLESS you HEATHER !

Trevor was an amazing brother but also a great friend. I remember going to family Advance when I was younger and as soon as I saw Trevor I always ran up and gave him a big hug every time I saw him. I wish I could hug him one last time. I'm thankful for having Trevor in my life .
