Timothy J. Nehmer, age 45, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at his home. He was born on August 25, 1964 in Columbus and was the son of Lloyd and Betty (Madsen) Nehmer. He married Tina Witczak on August 27, 1994 at Sacred Hearts Church in Sun Prairie.
Tim had the biggest heart in the world. He always put family and friends first. He so enjoyed watching Jeremy and Noah play hockey with SPYHA and baseball with SPLL. You just knew by the smile on his face how proud he was of those boys’ accomplishments. Many summer nights were also spent watching Tina and her friends on the softball field. Life took Tim along many roads where he developed so many special and lasting friendships. He couldn’t wait for Wednesday Steak Fry night at the VFW with the guys, especially Dennis and Kent, or the yearly trips to Tulsa for the Chili Bowl with his Nu-Bomb racing fans. Another of Tim’s favorite places to be was in their boat on the Wisconsin River. Many good times were had on those sandbars.
Tim was a highly skilled ceramic tile installer getting his start with Maly Tile. He moved on from there to work for Bob Rozinski with Madison Tile. He also worked for Sergenians Floor Covering and Nonns Flooring before establishing his own company, TNT Tile. He became a much respected professional in the tile industry.
Tim was a huge Wisconsin Badger Hockey fan. He recently traveled to Michigan to watch the Badgers in the Frozen Four with Tina, their boys and close friends.
Family was everything to Tim. He thoroughly enjoyed the Friday Nights at Mom’s, Sunday night at the midget races with the Plumber and KO, family Brewer trips and holiday gatherings. He had a special bond with each and every niece, nephew and the newest great-nephews. If the baby was missing, you only needed to find Tim and the baby was in his arms sound asleep.
Tim touched the lives of so many people and he will live on in all our hearts.
He is survived by his wife, Tina; their two sons, Jeremy and Noah; his mother, Betty (Joe) Conlin of Columbus, his two brothers and three sisters, Rhonda (Tom) Reinen of North Oaks, MN, Jeff (Jane) Nehmer of Sun Prairie, Mike (Barb) Nehmer of Sun Prairie, Lori (Brian) Weishoff of Sun Prairie, Holly (Charlie) Herwig of Weston; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Michele Witczak; a brother-in-law, Mark (Chris) Witczak of Colorado Spring, CO and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Nehmer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at St Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Drive in Sun Prairie. Monsignor Terrence Connors will preside. Interment will be held at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.
