So very sorry to learn of Tim's passing. Condolences to your whole family. We were neighbors for the last 12 years and he always had a smile and wave. He never hesitated to offer to help especially after my husband passed away. He did have a very generous nature and will definitely be missed. Prayers and hugs to you all.

Uncle Jerry, Aunt Pat, Todd, Ann, Nick - please know your friends and family are thinking of you and praying for you. Tim will never be forgotten. I will always remember his huge smile and laugh. He was always so kind and so approachable. The kind of person who would do anything for you if you asked him. His personality was absolutely lovable. My Dad would always dish it out to Tim and Tim would take great joy in dishing it back. He was the kind of guy you always wanted to hug instead of give a hand shake to. He will surely be missed but we won't ever forget him. God Bless you, and your families. Cousin Joe

Sending my deepest sympathy to your family during this most difficult time. I always enjoyed speaking with Tim when I went out in the factory. He always had a friendly smile and had a heart of gold with some great stories to tell.
Greg Hansen left a message on April 14, 2020:
My deepest condolences to the VandeHei family. As I sit in silence remembering Tim, the thing I remember most is his smile. He would always be smiling giving one liners, picking on “Nicky”, or repeating his current catch phrase. The catch phrase I remember the most is “Soda King”. One of my fondest memories of Tim is paint balling for Nick’s bachelor party. Through out the game he said “I have your back”. We had such a great time and my bond with him grew deeper. Many years after Julie and Nick were married when ever he would see me he would pretend he had a paintball gun in his hand and would say “I got your back”. I will miss his smile and his one liners but I will celebrate and cherish the memories of Tim VandeHei.
