Susie was an inspiration to so many....myself included, and I am so deeply saddened and overwhelmed at the news of her loss. We were in eachother's weddings over 30 years ago, and circumstances beyond our control took us in different directions, but I have never forgotten my dear, sweet adorable friend! I am crying for all of us as I write this, as I know she is looking down from heaven with that beautiful smile glowing and at peace....Thank you for the friend you always were to me and for the fabulous memories I will cherish.....you are all in my prayers....

Just wanted to send our sincere condolences to Sue's family. We met Sue briefly a couple months back, while in the waiting area of the Carbone Cancer Center. My mother, Dixie Rees, was also there for an appointment and knew Sue from the support group they attended together thru the hospital. Sue seemed to be a strong and dignified women, though her cancer was slowly taking her life. My mother also just lost her battle with cancer last Saturday. From what I understand from a support group email, Sue came to the hospice center, the day before my mother passed away there. I find it kind of bittersweet that they were still "supporting" each other by being in the same place towards the end of their lives. Cancer is a horrible disease that takes lives far too early, but I find comfort today knowing that Sue and my mom are up in heaven chit chatting away...........Lindsay Rees and Dan Rees(husband)
