Steven was one of the first persons I met starting at Eurofins. He made me feel welcome and continued to always be a pleasure to work with. My heart and prayers are with the McCrary family.

Steven was part of a great recruiting class for Covance, circa 1992. The business was looking to expand scientific capabilities and assays. Steven and fellow young grads formed a team that propelled our business to the next level and beyond. They all were bright and eager. Go easy on St. Peter in heaven and let him score a couple of goals. Steven- you are the “salt of the earth”.

Prayers for peace and healing for all of Steven's family and friends, as you grieve his passing and celebrate his life and the memories you have. My strongest memory of Steven in college is his ever-present easy smile, his positive energy, and his zest for life. I would instantly feel happier just being around him. I'm sure there are many others who've had that same experience all these years since.

Steven, you were a great son. We could not have asked for anything more and we know you are now in GOD'S hands. You are now watching down on your whole family. Love, MOM and DAD
Todd Jahnke left a message on June 7, 2024:
My son ran into Steve last spring at Ripon. My son commented what a great guy Steve was and enjoyed some of the stories he shared (especially about Todd Brown's pledge name). My son was spot on about Steve; one of nicest, great people I have had the fortune to meet and spend time with. My condolences.

Memory: I remember Steven played on our Covance Rec Volleyball team, back when they had grass courts on site. He was always the most positive team member, bringing encouragement to all even if we were down. When we won the championship he was the most excited player on the court. He had great sportsmanship and like to win as well. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Betsy and the whole family.
