Stanley Rebacz, 93, of DeForest, WI passed away peacefully at his home on September 23, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Stanley was born in Poland on July 1, 1927, the 6th of his parents’ 7 children. After losing his own father at a young age, he developed a life-long drive to provide for his family. During his young adulthood, he served in the military and met the love of his life. Stanley and Teresa (Janik) were married on April 19, 1952 and had three children. Stanley and his family immigrated to the US in 1964. He worked hard in a steel forge shop in Chicago, before they ran a small motel in WI Dells. After retirement, they settled in DeForest near their kids.
Stanley was young at heart, laughing and always wearing a smile. His faith was important to him and he was an avid church-goer. He found peace and serenity in praying the rosary frequently. He had a lifelong passion for the outdoors- he enjoyed taking care of his gardens, bike-riding and fishing, building bird houses and growing grapes for his home-made wine. His family will remember his love for Monday Night wrestling, playing Santa at Christmas, white Tic Tacs and a “high-ball” for anyone who walked in the door.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Teresa; his sisters Anna and Josephine; children Mary (Edward) Zarow, Anne (Tom) Bobek, and Stan (Joann) Rebacz; grandchildren Karen (Matt) Sommers, Monika (Michael) Messick, Joanne (Nick) Weisensel, Daniel (Dominique) Zarow, Victoria (Brian) Ballweg, Matthew Rebacz, Nicholas Rebacz and Angela Rebacz; and the apples of his eye, his great-grandchildren Stella, Alexis, Bryce, Reese and Sloan.
Stanley joins his parents Wawryniec (Lawrence) and Maria, and siblings Walter, Joseph, John and Mary in heaven.
We will miss our devoted husband, loving father and adoring Dziadziu. In our hearts he will always stay, loved and remembered every day.
The family would like to thank the doctors & nurses at WI Heart & Meriter Hospital, especially Dr Wallhaus, as well as Agrace Hospice for their dedication to his care.
A private visitation for family is being held. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home in Sun Prairie, WI. To share a memory or condolence, visit www.newcomerfh.com
