Sally King, age 82, died on August 20, 2011 at Badger Prairie Health Care Center in Verona. She was born on June 9, 1929 in Springfield, IL and was the daughter of John and Charlotte (Friedmeyer) Sweeney.
She is survived by her daughter Shawn (David) Slotten of Marshall; 2 granddaughters Ashley Slotten of Marshall and Angela (John) Handlen of Sun Prairie; 2 great grandchildren Tucker and Haidyn.
She was preceded in death by her son Roger King; and a brother John Sweeney.
A Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 300 Broadway Dr. in Sun Prairie with Pastor Charles E. Brandt presiding. Burial will be in Sun Prairie City Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Tuesday. The family suggests in Lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Dane County Humane Society or bring a stuffed animal to the church to be donated to local law enforcement agencies for distressed children.
