A graveside memorial service will be held to honor Peter Iffy Kravitz on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

Peter died December 16, 2014, surrounded by his family. Peter was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years Helen.

This service will include military honors provided by the Sun Prairie VFW and American Legion. Peter was a retired Master Sgt. of the Air Force and was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service in a combat zone.

To the Kravitz Family, was shocked to see that Pete had passed, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. It wasn't long ago I saw him at Kelley's Market in Sun Prairie, in passing we exchanged a few words and as I drove away I wondered what he meant by saying I'm not long for this world. After running the errands I was in a hurry to do, I stopped at his home to give him the time he deserved, and we sat and talked about the good old days in Capehart and the VFW. He reminded me of all the times he got me out of trouble, like the time he caught me toilet papering your tree, and told me "go right ahead because you will be here in morning cleaning it up." His favorite though was when he pulled me off a guy at the bowling alley, and may have saved that persons life and me a trip to jail, but that was the night that caused me to stop drinking some 30 years ago. Most of all he talked about how proud he is of his girls and grandkids, as he always did. Rest in Peace! Say hi to Ellen for us all, Pete. Please notify me of any services that are being held in spring.
