Nancy C. Mackin, age 75, died on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital
in Belleville, Illinois. She was born on June 13, 1935 in Milwaukee and
was the adopted daughter of Harold and Laura (Hinze) Bennett. Nancy graduated
from Waupun High School in 1953, and was married to Wilbert R. Jeffords
until his passing in 1991. She later married Leo W. “Bill” Mackin Jr.
residing for a time in Surprise, Arizona and then relocated to O’Fallon, Illinois.
Nancy was a devoted mother and wife who truly nurtured her family, making each
one feel special and treasured. She lived what she believed-loving well, giving generously,
trying new things in life, and faithfully serving the Lord – a legacy
that will be cherished forever. Her gift of hospitality, love of family
and friends, and her steady faith make having the privilege of sharing
life with her unforgettable.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memory her husband, Leo W. “Bill” Mackin
Jr.; 3 children Jeffrey (Penny) Jeffords of Janesville, Robyn Baerenwald
of Sun Prairie, and Patrick Jeffords; a brother Robert (Geri) Bennett of
Algoma; 8 grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Christopher, Jennifer, Rebecca,
Preston, Jason; a great grandchildren, Haven ; a
son-in-law, Les Hennigan of El Mirage, AZ; nieces, nephews and family
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a late husband, Wilbert R.
Jeffords; a daughter, Melody Hennigan and a granddaughter Kaitlin N.
Kalmerton.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010 at
the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie
with Pastor David Rostad presiding. Burial will be in Highland Memory
Gardens Cemetery in Beaver Dam. A visitation will be held from 11:30
a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday.
