Mary J. Carnahan, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Heritage House in Monona. She was born on December 31, 1942 in Stanley. She was the daughter of Archie and Pauline (Buskager) McElmurry. Mary worked for 30 years as a unit clerk at Meriter Hospital.
She is survived by her children, Shannon, Sheryl (Joe) Anderson, Shawn (Kristi) Carnahan; six grandchildren, Keagan, Gavin, Brayden, Kiley, Michael and Erin; a sister Beverly McElmurry; sisters-in-law Joyce McElmurry and Kay McElmurry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tom, George and Gary and a sister Darlene Oliver.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie.
