Linda Marie Wendler, age 76, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at her home in Footville. Linda was born January 7, 1947 in Baraboo, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harland and Elinor (Turner) Wickus. Linda Marie Wendler, age 76, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at her home in Footville.
Linda was born January 7, 1947 in Baraboo, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harland and Elinor (Turner) Wickus.
Linda was a Jack of all trades; including gardening, canning, sewing, ceramics and baking; especially cakes!
Survivors include her children: Leland (Barbara) Thomas, Anthony Thomas, Nicholas Thomas and Angela (Brian) Brockmann; 4 grandchildren: Kylie, Chelsea, Nichole, and Brianne; sisters: Carolyn (Tom) Sykes and Marjory Hill; and brothers: Harland (Marjean) Wickus Jr. and William (Mary) Wickus.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jeffrey.
A memorial service will be held at Newcomer Silverthorn Chapel on the Hill, 3008 South Coon Island Road, Orfordville, on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. with John Thomson officiating. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at a later time in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, North Freedom, Sauk County, Wisconsin.
