LeRoy J.W. Altenburg age 84, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018. He was born on July 10, 1933 in Poynette to Fredrick and Esther (Krier) Altenburg.
LeRoy served in the U.S. Navy, aboard the USS Sigourney 643, during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956. He worked as a crane operator and a member of I.U. of O.E. Local 139 since 1958.
LeRoy is survived by nephew's, Ray and Danny (Diane) Altenburg; niece Linda (Gary) Winburn; extended family Randy and Sheryl Novenskie, Karl and Susan Oemig; and grandchildren Kyle and Aaron Oemig.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother James; and special friend Norma Nelson.
Burial will take place at Windsor Cemetery, where a private family service will be held.
