I am so sorry for your loss. In reading the obituary, I realized that I have one of Pastor Thoreson's work of art. He gave it to me when I was 5 years old for singing This Little Light of Mine during a woman's program at Orfordville Lutheran Church. That was 42 years ago! So happy to finally know who this is from. Thank you so much, Thor!!

Marilyn and family, Pastor Ken was a terrific inspiration to me. His ability to connect and to care for people. I remember him at Faith Haven Bible Camp in Minnesota around the year 2000. His art and messages impacted the youth as he clearly shared Jesus. May our Savior King bring comfort in this season! Blessed be his memory!

Marilyn, So sorry to hear about Pastor Ken's passing. I really missed you and him when you left. It took a while to find someone to replace him. Loved and miss his chalk drawings during Christmas. My prayers are with you and your family. God bless.

My sympathy and prayers are with you on the loss of Ken. Most of your service to Trinity Free Lutheran was prior to me joining them. However, reading Ken's obituary showed what an extraordinary person he was. Everyone who knew and loved him were greatly blessed. Darrell Bacon

What a great friend. Marilyn and family you are in our prayers. 1 Thessalonians 4:13 King James Version 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope

Your dad was a huge encouragement to me, to see a man who was able to serve the Lord and still keep an occupation outside of the Church. I will be praying for you Leif and your whole family as you grieve your dad. God Bless

Having Pastor Thoreson and Marilyn to come to our church in Canal Winchester was a blessing. My husband and I truly loved him. He certainly impacted our lives spiritually. The chalk art was sensational. Marilyn would tell the story as Pastor Ken would draw his magic. He will be sadly missed. God has called His faithful angel home.

I thank the Lord for the acquaintance with Pastor Ken and Marilyn, and send my condolences to you, Marilyn, and the family. It was a God-guided choice this a.m., to click 'play' on the CD player that almost always has one of the Thorsen CDs in it. There are few artists who's music has been played more, both during my husband, Dean's, last year and since. Thankful to you both for our communication some time back and for the additions to my CD library, and for the extras I was able to share with others at Abiding Word at Deshler, NE. We all delighted in Ken's artistry and Ken and Marilyn's ministry. May God grant to each of you the sense of calm brought by Ken's music.

I am sorry to hear of pastor kens passing. my condolence to the family .I was working at burness chev at the time i went out on a wrecker call it was pastor ken [i did not know him at the time] . He had blowen a heater hose and he need to get to work so i fix it temporary so he could go. A few months passed and i decided i had to change jobs . So i appllied at gm and was told i would have an interview that day. so when i went in it was pastor ken and he say hi dale good to see you again and thats how my employment with gm for 33 years began. pastor ken was also the first pastor to let me preach which started a whole new part of my life i am forever grateful. To Marilyn i say my wife of 50 years passed away over a year ago . I sympathize with what you are going through. I explain it this way. I am a ship in a vast ocean and all my sails are up to catch the wind but there is no wind so i am adrift . May the grace of or lord and savior Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. praise be to God
