John A. Weishar, died peacefully and unexpectedly at home Friday, July 15, 2011. He was born in New York City, December 21, 1949 to Henry and Lillian Weishar. John was in the publishing business for many years, including Royle Publishing for 24. John was an ambassador and adopted son of Sun Prairie who made grand ideas a reality for Sun Prairie’s downtown. He was currently Sun Prairie Business Improvement District Manager. Survivors include daughter, Jennifer Weishar Skellington of Syracuse; son, Michael of Sun Prairie; grand-daughters Kari and Skylar Skellington of North Carolina; great-granddaughter, Lillian; brother, Doug of Syracuse and sister, Sue Claycomb of Fishers, IN; nieces and nephews and his long time girlfriend, Deborah McCulloch, and her son, Nate. A remembrance gathering will be on Friday, July 29th 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Sun Prairie Golf Course, Happy Valley Road. So that John’s spirit will live on, the family suggests memorials to the Sun Prairie Lions Club, Sun Prairie Dream Park or any charitable Sun Prairie organization.
