James M. Klubertanz, age 60 died on Friday, May 13, 2011 at his home. He was born on August 31, 1950 in Madison and was the son of Melvin and Mary (Mooney) Klubertanz. He married the love of his life Judy Kessler on September 20, 1975 at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Cottage Grove. Jim loved spending time at his cabin with his family in Adams Friendship, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife Judy; his children, Cheyenne (Trever) Weichmann, Amy Klubertanz, Rebecca (Nathan) Morter all of Sun Prairie; a son Kevin (Shelly) Klubertanz of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; brothers Bob (Louise) of Cottage Grove, Lloyd of Marshall; sisters, Ruth Anne (Gerald) Skalitzky of Lodi, Margie (Larry) Woodbury of Sun Prairie, Kathie (Harry) Mills of Sun Prairie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and aunts and uncles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie with Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt presiding. Burial will be in Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held from from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
