James J. Tuschen, age 47, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. He was born July 25, 1974 in Madison and was the son of Steven and Alice (Vanderbloemen) Tuschen. Jim spent his entire life in the Sun Prairie area where he went to school and later worked. Jim started working for the family business, Joe Tuschen Trucking, Inc. as a teenager. Throughout his life he could be found, either driving a semi-truck, hauling milk or doing the mechanical work and maintenance on the semis.
In his free time Jim enjoyed being outside and tinkering with small engines. His most treasured time was spent with his nephews, Derrick and Tanner, 4-wheeling and snowmobiling. Jim had the biggest heart and warmest smile. He was a generous man and had a way of making you feel special. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents Steve and Alice; a brother Mark (Michelle) and his two nephews, Derrick and Tanner Tuschen as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Helen Tuschen, George Vanderbloemen and Wilna Gray; uncles, George “Van” and Phillip Vanderbloemen.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Funeral Home. A private interment will be held.
