Florence M. Hulsizer, age 93, died on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Kindred Hearts in Sun Prairie. She was born on September 11, 1917 in Sun Prairie and was the daughter of Alvin and Josephine (Bedner) Drunasky. She married Sylvester “Bub” Hulsizer on June 21, 1938 at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church. Flo worked for many years as a switchboard operator for Sears and G.T.E. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Sun Prairie.
She is survived by her children, Donna Davis of Sun Prairie, Dean (Bonnie) Hulsizer of Portage; 6 grandchildren, Tom (Trish) Davis of Sun Prairie, Tim (Julie) Davis of Portage, Tami (Steve) Konicek of Sun Prairie, Tina (Eric) Hansen of Riverbank, CA, Cara (Travis) Druckrey of Portage, Patty Hulsizer of Washington; 12 great grandchildren, Tommy, Candace, Kari, Adam, Brittany, Cecily, Angie, Gavin, Braxton, Chloe, Kaitlyn, Drew and a sister Pearl Klubertanz of Milwaukee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bub and a son-in-law Tom Davis both in 1997.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie with Father John Putzer presiding. Burial will be in Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie. The family would like to thank Sarah and the staff at Kindred Hearts. The family also suggests in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Kindred Hearts.
